The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) are promoting the quality and importance of the dark skies across our region. Join AONB staff and experts on this stargazing easy-ish walk, we are fortunate this weekend as there is no moon to spoil our views. (weather permitting). MEET: at the top of the Horseshoe Pass at 8pm. Park opposite the Ponderosa Café (they lock their car park at night) We will walk to the top of Moel y Faen – and possibly Moel Gamelin and hope for clear skies. Bring telescopes / binoculars / torch / head torch. OK, it goes without saying... it's going to be dark, health and safety is important to us but common sense also plays a part. We expect everyone to bring a torch and sensible clothing / footwear to suit whatever the weather conditions. |
This walk is being facilitated by the AONB
