The Friendly Festival
Llangollen Walking Festival has, over the years gained the illustrious reputation as 'the friendly festival' which we are very, very proud of!
We are not sure however, if it's because there is FREE Wrexham Lager on the long walks or the FREE Coffee at the Moel Famau Shepherds Hut on the Offa's Dyke Path Challenge Walk, FREE CLIF BARS for energy on every walk... or, our lovely 'designer' souvenir Festival badges? We suspect it's none of the above, it's our, knowledgeable friendly walk guides, that'll be it! FREE Nordic Walking...
We are very happy to bring you our FREE Nordic walking session for beginners. As always your expert instructor is Katrina, of Denbighshire Let's Walk. And sponsored by LEKI Walking Poles. A reminder: in 2019 all our walks will start from the Cottage Tea Rooms & Bistro in Castle Street (the High Street to you and me) lots of Yummy food and lovely coffee plus, packed lunches will be available too. More news to come...
Talks and Pictures...
We mentioned in our last eNewsletter our evening of illustrated talks in The Bridge End Hotel. Our walking adventure TALK is - "What started out as a holiday after university turned into a two year walk from Wales to Kyrgyzstan." More news to come... |
Help us Support a Local Charity...
In 2019 we are please to be supporting and donating to Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham. The staff, volunteers and hospice as a whole provide amazing support to a great number of patients and their families... we are very proud to support them. If you wish to donate just visit their web site or buy a raffle ticket at our 'TALKS EVENING' on Saturday - you could WIN LEKI Walking Poles! FREE Magazine for all...
Our very good friends at Trek&Mountain Magazine are so friendly they have asked us to give everyone a FREE copy. Now that's what we call friendly! YES IT'S TRUE - ask for your 10% DISCOUNT when you visit ProAdventure Out Door Shop in Llangollen...
and when you visit Cherry Tree Country Clothing in Ruthin at their great NEW store LL15 1NJ
Just tell them you are a Llangollen Walking Festival guest, that'll do the trick!
