Health - It is the responsibility of all walkers to ensure that they are physically fit enough to take part in the walks which they have chosen and that they wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Children - Children under the age of 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Starting Time - Please arrive at the start point at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of each walk in order to register. This is especially important for walks which include bus or train journey. Walks will commence at the quoted start time whether all participants have arrived or not. Weather - The walk leaders will be at the starting point whatever the weather. However, in exceptional weather conditions, the walk may be re-routed or cancelled thus ensuring your safety If walks are cancelled a full refund will be made. Alterations - The organisers reserve the right to alter the festival programme without prior notice. The details in this programme are believed to be correct at the time of going to print. Liability - While we are experienced walking leaders and take safety very seriously, we’re obliged to point out that by agreeing to join us, you accept that TREKsmart or any of the supporters, sponsors and walk leaders cannot be held responsible for any injuries, loss or damages incurred as a result of your own action or omission of action. You also agree to indemnify the above against any claims, losses and costs associated with such. Please inform the walk leader (at the walk start) of any medical condition(s) which we should know about and how we should deal with it/them as this could impact on your safety and/or the safety of others. Refunds - Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before the event start date. |
Clothing / Footwear - Adequate / comfortable footwear is essential with the appropriate clothing for the conditions likely to be encountered. It is recommended that walkers bring some food and drink for the duration of the walks where applicable.
Dogs - Dogs are welcome on some walks, please check individual walk info. The owner(s) must be responsible for the dogs every needs. Dogs must be kept on a lead no longer than two metres. Outdoor Gear - visit ProAdventure's new shop in Castle Street and Cherry Tree Country Clothing in Ruthin, tell them you are here for the WALKING Festival, they will GIVE YOU 10% OFF Car Parking - the four main car parks in the town are Pay & Display (see map below) however, the car park at Dinas Bran School, north of the canal is free at weekends and bank holidays by kind permission of the school, cars parked at the owners risk. |
