We meet at Cottage Tea Room & Bistro, Castle Street 9.30 to start at 10.00 where you can enjoy a tea, coffee and snacks before the off. Start at 10.00am: Our moderate 6.5 mile walk takes us along the Dee Valley using part of the Community Miles Paths and the Offa's Dyke Path through Trevor Woods. There are a few climbs on the outward route - but nothing too hard or too long - to Trevor Canal Basin. Visit the world famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford - 1,007ft long and 127ft high above the fast flowing River Dee. You can also visit the Information Centre at Trevor Canal Basin where there is tea / coffee and toilets available. The route back is along the canal tow path to Llangollen where you may see the horse drawn boats.
